I’m out doing that just now, the hydraulics really slow down in big cold. Not much snow here, darn cold though

2017 ford F-150 eco boost (the little 2. something engine) -
Cold as F here, but started it up over clean concrete, dry but unheated - ran an errand, and upon return - discovered about 3-4 tablespoons of oil under it, with a thin glaze of ice on top of the puddle.
A little research points to a plastic oil pan, or valve covers - and gasket or sealing issues. - has anybody had the same or similar issue?
Booked it into the local dealership where we bought it - Wednesday morning. Inconvenience is that it's our only 4WD vehicle.
Less than 90,000 miles.
Our 2026 seems to have started with about the same amount of BS as last year. -
The crust here is hard as a honeymoon dick. The F350 4x4 isn’t its biggest fan. From the yard to the paved road has been a journey to say the least

I may have asked before, but where in AB are you with no snow? We had almost 4 feet before new years here in the Peace. Got warm for a bit after Jan 1 but still a good couple feet laying around. Gonna be a crazy runoff come spring.

Vauxhall area...we've had a total of maybe 5 inches this winter. Had 4 inches rain sometime in Nov

Ah, the AB dustbowl. The first time I ever saw a dust storm was not too far from there. Could see the dark cloud coming from the east when I was northbound headed towards cowtown from Milk River hauling an 8wd Versatile, thought it was a storm until it got closer. Even with the windows shut there was fine dust everywhere in the cab. Crazy. Never seen anything like it in person.

If the ice is on top it might not be oil. Any chance it's soot an condensation that froze when you warmed it up?

Irrigation is what keeps the dirt on the ground nowadays. The dams get water from west of cow town...

Last few summers up here have been pretty dry, if it melts too quick all this snow isn't going to do much good. My land is rented out, but the canola looked pretty grim last year.

I got relatives west of Hines creek n yeah they been dry too. I haven't been there since 2014
