As soon as we can, we’re going to buy a small piece of land in Mississippi and put a tiny home on it. Savings for that so far…$0. Can’t save money if you don’t make enough to live out on the road! Hoping we can get that done in 2-3 years. It all hinges on finding a company that will pay enough to get it done.

I've been reading about those tiny homes and looking at photos. Some of those are very beautiful and priced right.

The wife and I lived in a "tiny home" also called a park model mobile home. It was 500 Sq.ft., 1 bedroom, 1 bath, combo LR and kichen/ DR. We also had an attached Fla. Room and carport. They are solidly built and very affordable and you have all the comforts of a full size home.

We don’t have a lot of money and since it’s just the two of us, it seems like the housing solution we need. Land in Mississippi is very reasonable and so is living expenses. A bonus for us is Grenada Lake and the crappie fishing can’t be beat. The other bonus is bowhunting and hunting permits are cheap for residents of Mississippi. The people are awesome there too!

High School friend of mine bought a small houseboat and lived in it; on a lake.

2 weeks ago my dispatches totaled 1568 miles. Last week was 1028 miles. That included being down due to the weather for 2 days. This isn’t what I signed up for. Another issue I have with this company is that my tractor has slick highway tread on my drives and I’m expected to run in the winter with those. Is this a common problem for everyone else? I was also told that I’d never need tire chains and I haven’t been carrying them either. Not much longer and this will all be a distant memory.
