Video; another tiny home story:
This trailer looked like pallets, then the door opened
A trailer that looks like a load of pallets turns out to be a hidden camper built inside hollow wood walls. The setup includes a skylight, a small power system, and 360-degree cameras to monitor anyone nearby. The parking spot is a closed hardware store lot with a highway nearby and businesses close enough to blend in. The biggest risk is light leaking at night, giving away that someone is inside. A stealth test outside shows how close the setup comes to being invisible.

Read a report that Schneider is looking at all of their different divisions due to not making 4th quarter earnings. Stock dropped last week due to not making the earnings.

I finished the application with 1 company who is offering a huge pay raise compared to what I make now. I’ll post the company name as soon as I transition to their company. Until then, I’ll be putting in my 2 weeks notice at the current company and see if they fire me or let me work another 2 weeks.
I appreciate all the input on this from everyone.Opus, navypoppop, Savor the Flavor and 8 others Thank this. -
Another driver leaving a very greedy company!navypoppop, Lonesome and austinmike Thank this.

My opinion…give them your notice when you pull into the yard to clean out your truck. From reading your posts, it sounds like your company is the type to mess with you during the two weeks leading up to transitioning to a new company. Just my $.02navypoppop, austinmike and Cherokee65 Thank this.

Good advice. I just have a hard time not giving a company 2 weeks notice because of the way I was raised. But, I do see your point.navypoppop, Lonesome, Speedy356 and 2 others Thank this.

No corporations care about employees anymore. Especially in trucking. At the end of the day they’ll have 20 people next week taking your spot. I’d give them about 5 minutes of notice. You give a 2 week notice and magically you’ll start running out west.

If you've found that the grass is greener somewhere else -- just make sure you're OK with the fertilizer underneath it....

I’ve been driving for 11 years and this is my third job. Didn’t give notice at either of my two previous driving jobs because it just doesn’t make sense. If the company intends to fire you, they’ll just do it without any notice other than routing you to the yard. Transitioning to a new driving job is stressful enough without having to add in the uncertainty of when you’re going to be able to get back to the yard to clean out your truck and travel to your new one.Gearjammin' Penguin, ESAFO, Opus and 5 others Thank this.
