True, but I quote, "475-500HP 1850TQ MINIMUM".....he's pulling van freight, seems excessive to me. 450HP is adequate for what he does

There are people who will tell you they can take a 350 Cummins, 9 speed D (9th turned around) and run you ragged from Vicksburg, MS scales;east on 20 and lower, to the water in GA and down to Miami. Somewhat rolling country. At least scale weight going down and all the packing shed put in it coming back.
Respectable enough up into the Carolinas. Up above that or roaming back west up in there, depends on the quality of the driver.

2500 miles x 50 weeks is 125k miles per year. Easy to hit that number if doing longer more efficient runs.

Depends on how you run and how you're dispatched.

When I first got the license ran as a team for 5 Months. Weekly goal for that truck was 5k miles. So Annual goal would of been 250k miles.

When I got my Pete I ran over 150k miles in 11 months solo. Was on the previous generation of Electronic logs. Finance company called the company I was leased to wondering how I ran those kind of miles. Dispatchers liked me so I got efficient runs. Was west coast to Cincy with produce. My daily goal was around 650 miles per day when not doing pics and drops. Would typically run 12k to 14k miles a month. I was hustling though, Typically one long weekend at home per month with resets at a company terminal as needed.

When I moved to Landstar I cut back on my miles. Net per mile to the truck was about half again what the produce place paid. So only ran about 80k miles per year. Having the truck paid off slowed my motivation a bit also.

Speedway will never get another penny from me. I know they could care less about me , but hopefully a lot more people will feel this way
