Same. But careful with a BXS and fresh turbos she'll blow 'em right off the engine say 50+ lbs boost. Ask me how I know.
[edit] makes quite a loud POP! Get's a fellows attention

I've never had any luck with those spring loaded clamps actually sealing anything unless the spring was fully collapsed plus sometimes a little extra.

I think maybe what i was hearing was an exhaust leak? i tightened everything up and found an exhaust clamp quite loose... Also found injector harness was loose on the injectors when i pulled the valve cover to put new gasket on.. glad i checked everything up there. Tightened all that up and cleared all the inactive codes on insite , took it for another spin and it sounds great! Not sluggish like it was yesterday and no weird sounds. Felt really good and had good acceleration. Gave er a full grease job. Found a leaking brake chamber when doing a air leak test so i guess we got to change that out tomorrow. Luckily i have 3 spares in my parts storage..

Maybe one day ill be able to put the wrenches away and go hold a steering wheel and put my flip flops on the dash :D

I always double clamped all Air to Air boots as well as the compressor intake.
After you blow a boot half way up a mountain pass at 140k gross you learn quick.
Losing a compressor intake hose is irritating (and sometimes noisy).

Funny how things magically work just fine as soon as a mechanic operates something. Sitting in a cab running a bucket up and down for 2.5 hours gets old real fast.

I did the same - blue with new clamps, old set in the side box. I tweaked the new clamps a couple of times over a few hundred miles.

At one time the colors were for what side they went on... orange for the hot side, blue for the cold side. But I saw somewhere recently you can get them in just about any color you want.

    They do sound quite different.

Put a blow gun on your air compressor hose and push the button. If you have a boost leak it will sound a bit like that since basically the same thing is happening.

Didn’t know that, but it makes perfect sense. Learn something new everyday

I learned something about the wrong size clamps last summer on the side of the road. I put 4 new hoses and all clamps on one day last summer thinking I was doing a great job. I didn’t pay close attention to the threads as I assumed my parts store gave me the correct size clamps. It pulled fine the first 300 miles until I started in the hills. After closer inspection a few of the clamps had no thread showing resulting in a not so tight seal. I fortunately carry a box full of old clamps and put them on until I got to a place with the correct size clamps. New hoses and clamps is a relatively cheap fix and i carried an old hose and several clamps as spares. IMG_4522.jpeg IMG_4523.jpeg IMG_4526.jpeg
