Went to slow down. Has us flatbed drivers sometimes running reefer loads. It seems like every time I do this I get to sit around for hours at a shipper just to rush to get to the receiver and sit around for hours and then they kick you out when your clock is gone and you have to figure out what the hell to do with the product they left on your trailer. I'm already sick of it. Waiting with bated breath for a call to drive to a dock only to wait with bated breath once again waiting to get a call to get your paperwork. How do you find the time to get any restful sleep? It seems designed to rob you of your time.
How the heck do you put up with this? Reefer and sitting.

Your post reads like I wrote it.
That's why I never encourage rookie drivers to start out running reefer loads.
Welcome to the reefer world -- the buttcrack of trucking.

I do know the frustration @Tb0n3
fortunately, I haven't had to worry about any of that at KLLM Expedited. I sleep like a baby team-hauling refrigerated from East to West. One the nights that I am unable to rest easy, I just sip a little ZZZQuil. I've been with this company for almost 9 months and I still haven't had to deal with OSD. When companies kick me out, I'll just PC to a safe haven so that I can finish my 10 hour reset. I would've been experiencing crazy setbacks if I'd have decided to go with K&B as a Road Warrior -
Team driving is a whole other can of worms. No way in hell would I do that.hotrod1653, Speedy356, hope not dumb twucker and 2 others Thank this.

I used to say the same thing. I was content with suffering for $1200 to $1500 a week solo, until I started getting $2500 to $3100 a week driving teams. It's not for everybody though. Stress will come with any job. It gets way more hectic when things dont fall in line while your time clock is dwindling

Aside from the teams discussion how do you get any rest when you wait hours while you could be called to start working at any moment?
-
I respect that, man

I rest easily while I'm waiting. Once I'm rested, I'll either open a book or get outside the truck to exercise. I'll do anything except stress because the money will come.

Oh hey sorry we gave away your dock because you didn't show up to the guard shack within 15 minutes.ducnut Thanks this.
