Declined the 3 day, 350 mile run to San Diego. My AM made it sound like I was declining a lot of miles. I also told him that, from now on, when I put in for hometime and they send me a preplan the opposite direction, it will be declined. I have been burned too often "helping out". Told him, hometime is now not flexible to me, I've had enough. He got the load to Romeoville that I was supposed to drop at the yard changed back to a delivery and offered to give me 3 days of the pay on this week's miles (without me asking). Funny, when I ask, they say no, when I don't, they offer. I swear, Lincoln management must have served in the Psy-Ops division in the military, they love to #### with your mind.
Friend, 48Packard, BeHereNow97 and 4 others Thank this. -
I find it hard to believe that they refuse to split loads.. they have done it for a long time and I have it done quite a bit when necessary

I just turned down a 1350 mile run that picks up today and doesn’t deliver until Saturday evening in Pennsylvania…rejected it as unproductive and according to my asset manager, they’re getting a little skittish so to speak with these Walmart loads because many of them are becoming late so they’re adding more time on them… I told him they need to get rid of these people that don’t know how to do their freaking job and he couldn’t agree more… So now I’m waiting to see what the planner has us out of the DFW area

I still remember my time at Shaffer. I had one dispatcher or what you call asset manager. Which was supposed to be someone to help new hires get used to the company. Was actually a great guy. Then when it came the time to switch to a "permanent" one. I got someone that wasn't great.
Friend, hope not dumb twucker and Lonesome Thank this. -
3 days to do less than 1500 miles is ridiculousFriend, Gearjammin' Penguin, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Slow trucks and incompetent drivers.
My one day record in a 65mph econo spec truck is 735 miles.
You think most of these newer drivers could even comprehend how to do that?Friend, mdmgolfin, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -
They always screw you over whenever you do something nice for them, I've noticed it in your threads. I don't blame you for telling them you're done doing them favors, they have shown that they don't respect you when they constantly do stuff like this to you.Friend, navypoppop and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

I was at the flatbed company I worked at for 8 years. I left because I got a divorce and it wasn’t economical for me to live in a high cost of living area by myself at the time. After buying a truck and running it for a few years I sold what I had and after 5 years away I went back there to drive again because I liked the job and liked everyone there. I was there a couple years before getting talked in to going to work in Hawaii. Had I not made that choice I would probably still be working there.Friend, Rugerfan, Speedy356 and 1 other person Thank this.
