Starting at Crete 2/18/26

I know, I know… with Big Orange last year we netted just over $18k. That’s why I decided to come to Crete, to make enough to actually live on and save some money. It seems every little dream I have is just another pipe dream that never comes true due to money. Someone always caps the other end and I never can see light on the other end. I’ve never had much in life due to always being forced into taking low paying jobs. I had 1 good paying job and my ex spent the money faster than I could make it. I finally have one that’s good with money and I can’t make enough to do anything with other than live hand to mouth. It’s very frustrating to say the least! We got a little bit of money from life insurance on my FIL and end up losing it by buying a little house nobody wanted- end up selling it because it would have gone into foreclosure. I’m about to the point of scrapping any dream of owning anything. I thought that buying a place in Ms would be a good idea since land is very inexpensive there, cost of living low and property taxes are being phased out. Maybe it’s all just a pipe dream but a guy needs something to dream about and strive for.

 

We’re down tonight at the T/A in Kingsville, OH. Got fuel and parked for the night. We’re going to deliver tomorrow afternoon and see where we get sent after that. Lots of parking here!

 

Thank you friend- So far, we’ve had a few issues with the truck and a few issues with trailers and weather not cooperating. It’ll get better as summer gets here. This lake effect snow is no joke!! Visibility is about 100 yards right now.

Pay day coming… I got a preview of my paycheck and I have to say I’m shocked! I didn’t think my pay was going to be anywhere near that! It didn’t seem like I put in that many miles. I went back and the math adds up. I’m just shocked that there was that much difference between the two companies pay scale. I usually worry over nothing and I know I should just put it in God’s hands… But, I’m human and I always think the worst it seems.

 

It did feel pretty good. It was more than I ever made at the other place with fewer miles driven.
