Florida sheriff shares video of pickup hauling trailer loaded with cars striking police cruiser on I-4
WTF?!?!
Brand new police interceptor damaged!!
The moron who caused the accident seems more concerned about contacting someone on the phone than talking to the sheriffs deputy!!
Another Preventable Move Over Accident

I put this on your other post, but I'll put here to:
Colorado recently changed their law to Move over or slow down by at least 20mph below posted speed limit for ANY stopped vehicle with flashing lights.
Because I want to help others behind me slow down for all stopped vehicles with flashing lights I usually stay in my lane and slow down gradually by 30mph (i.e. from 70mph to 40mph or even slower). I do this now in all states...not just Colorado.mjd4277, hope not dumb twucker and rollin coal Thank this. -
I look to move over one time.If I can’t,then I put on my flashers and slow to the point to where I can stop if I need to.
I think people are to obsessed with needing to get over, that they drift while getting lost in their mirror.drvrtech77 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Then the guy driving 80 in the white volvo pulling Amazon trailer may crash into you….
just sayin’hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Right, which is also why I'll put my flashers on and gradually slow down.drvrtech77 and mjd4277 Thank this.

And this is why drivers are trained to keep their heads on a swivel!
drvrtech77, Flat Earth Trucker, Numb and 1 other person Thank this. -
Entirely possible, but if you get hit from behind in a situation like this, you are not at fault. Still would suck to be involved in an incident, but at least guilt lies somewhere else!hope not dumb twucker and mjd4277 Thank this.

This was a police situation, but I am well familiar - as I drive a Freightliner 26,000 GVW
towtruck daily, and I never take my eyes off oncoming traffic. People drive like the devil
is chasing them, and catching up. I always put out a fluorescent green cone for safety.
I had a tanker run over it at about 80 mph. A blind man could see the light show I got.
It's not what YOU do, it's the other guy.
Be safe out there, it's become a zoo lately.Last edited: Apr 1, 2026
