Husband and wife team starting with R&L Carriers

We have 10 years left in us. We're both 57.

 

Update. Wife and I are still happy here. Not much to report on. We're still getting our load everyday and home every night. 3 to 4 hrs but we're home. We're each grossing $2545 a week and our health insurance is still $72 a week. We're using our company resorts when we go on vacation. When we go we each get a room since theyre 2 of us. We bring our granddaughters. They usually get us a joining rooms. Saves us about 2500 a week on rooms alone. We're still set on retiring here in 10 years

 

Update on how it's going here. Still going strong. Same run and home time. Still running 5 days a week . I post a w2 every year. We did take 2 weeks without pay for family reasons. Death of a parent and birth of a grandchild. Also a week without pay when we had 10 inches of snow in Pensacola. Terminal was closed as well as I10 for a whole week. No one could move any where until the snow melted. Wife's w2 was about 125k. All insurance comes out of my check.

 

We have about 10 more years. We're both 58 and want to be done at 68 if we can.

 

Forgot to post about our Christmas week spent at R+L resort in Daytona Beach. We brought our 4 adult children and 3 grandkids. Since we're a team they gave us 3 rooms to accommodate all of us. We stayed 9 days. Went to Universal Orlando and Seaworld 5 days. 1 day at Kennedy Space center and 2 days at the hotel beach. They gave us free tickets to the Christmas light show at Daytona Speedway. Also they reserved a pontoon boat for us at a marina that RL owns. It's free to use but you pay the gas. The marina is an hour drive and when my family realized we had to be there at 7am we decided to pass. We told them 2days before to cancel and they did no problem. On Christmas Day the hotel staff had a hot buffet set up for us with all the fixings. They even had Santa come by for the kids. We spent the day in the heated pool since the Atlantic was 60 degrees. It's right on the beach and we had a great time. Saved us $4000 we would of spent on an Airbnb near parks. The hotel is kept nice and clean. We had no complaints. Wr have 3 other employee resorts free to use. Ocean Isle NC. Pigeon Forge TN and Big Bear Lake CA. It's even free for when we retire. Weve only been to Daytona Beach but plan on using others.
