This is my policy from last year. The cargo was actually $250,000, which raised my premium about $400 more. Do any of you guys see any redundancies or anything that should be changed?

couple weeks ago. was only paying that.. Only 100k cargo with hoppers, most stuff only costs 10-15k for product. But require 100k. Mack insured 50k international 20k (spare) 1 hopper insured 84k one 54k (price difference between a 22 and 24 model) one Dryvan 20k and the old roadway 07 is only 10k). It only hauled 3-4 loads last year.
if I add a driver it jumps up 4,000/year.

    Siinman and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Interesting. I was paying about 20,000 CAD (14,500 USD) for my 2012 Volvo and roll tite valued at 100k combined, with 2 mil liability, 250k cargo, and w mil commercial general liability.

Currently paying about 25k CAD (18k USD) a year for my same policy, but with a 300k combined value on my newer 389 and same wagon

I know, look, I just want to apologize to LongFLD, I'm really on your side, I was told to stay off the O/O forum:biggrin_25516:, because of my views, but being an O/O at one time, I'm truly concerned about O/Os today, even though it may not sound like it. It's like trying not to look at a welder. To be clear, while my O/O days weren't my most profitable years, it was without a doubt the zenith of my career, and I applaud anyone that even does that today. When I was an O/O, it was the most ludicrous of decisions, I gave up a good by the hour local job, locals thought I was nuts, and I guess I was, but it was something I always wanted to do, and there was so much to do with de-regulation, trucks were a dime a dozen, regulations were few, it was a mighty attractive, easy way of making a buck. That's not the case today, I wouldn't make it out of the yard, it takes a lot more today, and I can understand the good old pride it takes, reminds me a bit of a younger me.
I don't recall who 1xHeavy was, I remember some controversy, perhaps spoke a little too loud,,,like me, but us old timers can have a bit of a gripe, to us trucking was a gas, a joke almost, not some entity you need a law degree to do for cryin' out loud, but that's the way it is. Thanks, hope you all understand the ramblings of an old O/O, it will happen to you, if lucky. If any doubt, see avatar,,.:hello2:
