I hope you've been following AirBnB trends because overall reservations are down big time. That model is struggling badly due to ridiculous fees, oversaturation, poor customer service from AirBNB and unfair resolution support among other factors. Customers are going back to using hotels because of all the drama.

I've been paying attention and have plans far outside of that. At worst, I'm prepared to eat the cost for a year while making no money. Mortgage will be less than my car note. I made sure not to do something like this that I can't afford.Albertaflatbed, Cardfan89 and ColoradoLinehaul Thank this.

I'd put it up on VRBO. You will probably have better luck than on AirBnB. Everyone's getting tired of AirBnB's ####.

Freight has been a disaster the past few weeks out of my barn. My team truck is still running a full schedule, but every time I've called in to work an extra day, they had nothing for me. Wild board guys are working 3 days a week and it's not fair that I take some of their bread when I'm comparatively rolling in dough.
My co-driver and I are desperate for more work though, so last week we called central dispatch and told them we're willing to run our hours ragged. Their reply was basically "say no more".
Wyoming just had a big wind storm blow through the week previous, and so there were a bunch of trailers to move. So we got repositioned off the I-40 lane onto I-80, running Salt Lake, Denver and Omaha until we ran out of hours in Salt Lake. My wife was NOT HAPPY to learn I was taking a 34 on the road, but my mother-in-law is in town to help with the kids. So aside from my 5 and 2 year old daughters calling out my name every other day, I'd say the collateral damage is limited. They're gonna do backflips when I get home and I look forward to it.
After resetting in Salt Lake, this week they're having us run between NorCal and Salt Lake. Donner Pass isn't as bad as I remember it being, but it still shouldn't be taken lightly. We're finishing up our 3rd round trip tonight, should be doing one last round trip before they send us home back down I-15. Paychecks for the next 2 weeks should be $200-$300 larger than normal. Peanuts by themselves, but over time it adds up.hotrod1653, Lumper Humper and Cardfan89 Thank this. -
I left early today. I'm running for 4k miles this week. It's been kinda slow on the extra board but I'm not mad at the 2700 miles. I know when it picks up I'm like a bat out of hell. Just been taking it slow and enjoying the scenery until then.

Slow at ABF. On another message board Estes and TForce also reporting slow.

New lane supervisor thought us having 100k in freight was a big day. 130k used to be normal when I started. It was unheard of for any of us to go back with one and an empty, now it's becoming normal.
Cardfan89 Thanks this.
