Spent all day yesterday trying to come up with a "believable" April fools story...as you can see, it was an epic failure.
As some may have noticed, I haven't been on here whining and complaining much. That's because I have been rolling. The last contact I had with my new asset manager was last week on my way up to Maine when I asked her to update my days out. Since then, I am pre-planned on at least one load ahead, sometimes two. After delivering to the caves in Independence, I picked up at a warehouse 6 minutes from the KC yard. It was supposed to be a drop/hook after 1600, but I showed up around noon and they put me to a door right away and live loaded me. Only downside is, shift 1 didn't tell shift 2 that they weren't loading a drop load, so nobody came out to unlock my gladhand once they were done. I finally went in and checked with shipping and they did my paperwork, apologized multiple times, then came out and unlocked me...even then I was still leaving before my loads original ready time. Made it to the Phoenix yard a little after noon yesterday, and I am currently live unloading in Tolleson right now. After this I live load in Surprise, AZ going to Costco in Mira Loma, CA for the morning then live load in Compton going to a drop Plainfield TX by Sunday. My 1st full pay week since the switch over will end up with just under 3400 miles, and a good start to next week, but that all depends on how Easter affects the freight.
Even with a dismal January and 8 days off in March, I still topped 30k, and the way my AM is running me, it doesn't look like I will have any issues achieving the Crete mileage bonus. So far, the only regret I have switching over is listening to My. Excuse, a.k.a. the Shaffer Ops Manager months ago and not switching over back then.Knucklehead, Friend, hotrod1653 and 16 others Thank this. -
BTW, I have finally started a new "Crete adventure" thread, so I can post my experiences over there instead of on my Shaffer thread.

That ridiculous! Sounds like another way to short the drivers money. Before I retired, we had the Samsara ELD and it showed exactly how many miles I drove.Friend and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
