Should I Have Made A U-Turn?

Mid morning I'm standing in line at major truckstop outside Cincinnati sipping my coffee while the grandpa behind me with his two grandkids was caught in the endless "but why" spiral. I chuckled, eventually paid for my coffee and started walking back to my truck in the parking lot.

I round the corner, start cutting across the cat scale approaching a cluster of bobtails, and as the distance grows thin and my bad eyes adjust I become confused. What is this man doing standing outside of his truck with his door open? I can't quite make it out but it resembles a position associated with other locations.

And then I realize this barbarian is holding his pecker trying to squeeze the lemon juice out. I don't know if he was too dense to realize his door wasn't blocking the view or what but completely unacceptable.

What's interesting was he didn't look shocked as I came face to face with him once I was on the other side of the door. I said wtf are you doing? And the reflex of his facial expression lead to the reflex of my left hand that wasn't holding my coffee to mash his ugly head into the side of his truck.

I would rate the force as firm but not unacceptable. Similar to a good push on the side box door to ensure it's closed. His little headset and hat fell off and he looked absolutely confused. Then I continued walking.

When I was about a trucks length away he found the courage to spit in my direction while yelling and offered an invitation to return. For some reason I declined, offered an expletive and continued my morning.

My question: should I have made the u turn and possibly got stuck in the mud?

 

Yeah you're right he probably would have beat the brakes off of me and my fight or flight kicked in and luckily saved me.

Well, unfortunately I have to look in the mirror every morning so I know ugly when I see it. Haha

 

3 bucks is outrageous for coffee btw. I'm usually lazy one night every two weeks and don't get the pot ready for the am.
