It ended up only taking 2 hours to unload at the alternate Costco site. If it were a regular grocery warehouse, I'd jump for joy, since it was a Costco, still acceptable, but not up to the level of what they usually do, still not bad. To make lemonade out of it, it did get me out of most of the morning rush hour traffic. This is where my day went to ####. Got loaded with 41k of some sort of shelving units. When I looked at where the load ended in my trailer, I was sceptical, but only 41k, I should be legal at the 40' Cali mark...or so I thought. Where I loaded, there really wasn't a CAT scale nearby, so I planned on going back by the same Flying J I stayed at last night, just to double check. When I checked the trucker path app, Banning had been open all day, better safe than sorry. The roads getting back to the J were backed up bad, so I ended up going to a Pilot Dealer a few exits down 215 south of where 91 and 60 split. When I saw my scale ticket, I about pooped.
Not even sure I could get it legal at 41'. Dispatch said take it back in the morning and have it reworked...so there goes my trip plan and my reset. And I only have one person to blame....Me.motocross25, Trucker61016, Rugerfan and 8 others Thank this. -

Been delivering to Walmarts for 30+ years, I am familiar with their policies, but CSR's can contact their receiving and request earlier delivery dates if they have the available equipment to drop/hook to.Trucker61016, navypoppop, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
