FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I've never lived in MI, I'm trapped in the Soviet Socialist Republic of Illinoistan, though I did vacation in Pentwater once in HS, it was nice.

 

My exercise deal now, being linenhaul is the gym daily when I’m off work and pushing that heavy converter dolly around. If I have to go distance, I’ll use the truck to move it. I swap routines at the gym, leg day, arm day etc. I’ve managed to keep some weight off, but not getting steps like I did on P&D.

There headquarters is off of interstate 35 and W 151st ST in Olathe , Ks

 

Weekend dispatch pushed through my preplan for Monday earlier this afternoon.

Pickup 3pm Monday in Anaheim. Which isn't an issue. It's a load of granite slabs that go to Denver. I've done this a few times before.

The issue is that my delivery is set for 5am Monday in Oceanside.

I mean I could deliver and head up and wait all day then load. But then run out of time. Or do a split in Anaheim with the big chunk taken care of if I'm lucky.

But she emailed my dispatcher for him to read first thing Monday. There should be a few of us out this way, so surely something could be figured out.

Worst case I can sit here and dwell over it the rest of the weekend.

 

My wife's cousin and her husband have both been diagnosed with cancer in the last year. The husband survived non-hodgkins lymphoma more than a decade ago and was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer out of the blue (because of his previous cancer, he got screened twice a year, and it went from nothing to there in 6 months). Now the cousin has been diagnosed with that small cell lung cancer you see drug advertising for, and it has spread to a couple other areas, and the chemo drugs make her BP go up so high she has to be admitted to the hospital because she starts bleeding out of her nose and mouth really bad. Both took the Covid death poke(and booster pokes) because they both work for Walmart, and Walmart required them to get the shots.(They're not drivers, they supervise the store remodeling crews)

 

I'm certain it won't be long before we're inundated with TV commercials asking " have you or a loved one been diagnosed with cancer after receiving the COVID-19 vax"?

5am delivery in Oceanside.. they get there at 5am.. Pulled me in a little before 6a. Finished around 645 or so.

Next load is in fact the 3pm pickup in Anaheim. Sitting at the customer now. 7hrs early. I'm gonna start pestering them soon.
