Hey team. I was at Schneider for a year but I want to start a tanker position. I got offer letters from Kenan and Quality Carriers. I think I am going to pick QC. Do I make a mistake?!
I'm in Atlanta GA, going OTR.
Reviews are not that great for both...
Thanks in advance for the feedback.

QC pretty much depends on the terminal. There are some corporate owned terminals that will have about the same pay bennies, etc. But most of their terminals are called "Affiliate Terminals". Pay, bennies etc. can vary widely between these terminals. Equipment maintenance can differ too. I would talk to the terminal manager where you would sign on and find out what and where you'll be running, pay etc. Qc is not a bad company. I worked for an Affiliate Terminal for a few years and had no complaints.
As far a Kenan, many consider them the scourge of the tanker industry. But they do seem to have good equipment and have the resources to keep you running.

    tscottme and Mash85 Thank this.

    Thanks for your feedback.
From Morrow GA (Atlanta), I'll depend of the Houston TX dispatch. I'll try to gather more infos about the two QC terminals close to Atlanta GA.
Can I know for which QC terminal you worked for?

Kenan is a complicated monster. They have owner op and company positions. Honestly, I would investigate what they are offering in your area. One thing to keep in mind is that they dont have to be your final company you work for. Use them to advance your skillset. They offer quite a few different niches and you can transfer within the company. learn fuel, more tanker work, or Cryogenics.

QC used to make you do tests on your time, not paid.
Watch videos do tests. Once was a bunch like 7 hours.
You don’t do tests your auto booted from available dispatch
QC bought a company I worked for and forced us to do that.

Why not stay at Schneider and let them train you for tanks?
