I turned in my truck to FCC at the first of the year. A combination of FCC, the general industry as a whole, and my own health played into all of it. The main reason I came into this industry was because I love driving and i wanted to see the country. Well I've pretty much seen all I'm going to see in 4.5 years. I have no regrets on quitting the industry cold turkey. My CDL expires next year and I'm planning on just getting a regular driver's license.

While I understand your reasoning for leaving, you may want to reconsider dropping your CDL, you never know what the future holds and it's always good to have options.runningman0661, gentleroger, bzinger and 3 others Thank this.

You live in small town Kansas. I wouldn’t be so eager to get rid of your CDL. The health is on you, and the leasing was also on you. This industry owes you nothing, and it’s what you make of it.runningman0661, gentleroger, Long FLD and 1 other person Thank this.

He’ll get tired of the grocery store stocking bs that he’s doing now. Salina isn’t really a great place to live job wise.
