I am new to hazmat and dont want to screw up! what states require you to enter weigh station when hauling hazmat and does that mean just roll across the scale or park and go inside with your paperwork?

Roll across. If they want you. You’ll know.
Arizona and Arkansas, with Ohio and West Virginia gotta roll across.
you can get a Ohio alliance agreement ru bypass with hazmat load.Twf3 Thanks this. -
Here's the list I came up with reading both Drivewyze and Prepass lists. ID is showing conflicting info so I put it in the list. These states say ignore the in-cab electronic signal and enter scales regardless of in-cab or road sign indicating Bypass. AZ, AR (Fuel transport),ID, ME, PA, VT, MD, WI
Enter weigh station, cross scales, follow the Park/Exit sign.
If in doubt, enter scales. I think AZ fine was $600 for bypassing.

In my opinion and what i did whem i did hazmat. Unless the sign says closed. As a rule you wont be yelled at for entering and if they want to see your papers they will tell you. If you dont enter is when issues pop up. So as long as your equipment is right and tight, your legal, and everything is correctly marked. you should never worry about going through one.
tscottme, hope not dumb twucker, lual and 2 others Thank this. -
Hmm, I always thought you had to enter a scale with placarded Haz-Mat, open or closed. It's why I always went around them
.
tscottme and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Any placarded loads must enter open scales in Arkansas. And they will come and get you if they see you not pull in. A guy I used to work with at QC went by the EB Hope scale on i30 at the 26mm. Got pulled over. Made him get off at exit 30, go back westbound to exit 18 at then come back eastbound and go into the scale. Ticket was around $200. And he was empty. Just had residue.201 Thanks this.

Thank you. What I posted was from reading the state info from PrePass and Drivewyze.
I'll add AR to the list. -
