I often think about the old man I worked for until he died… old dude was strong as heck. Didn’t care about anything. And if someone tore something up, it didn’t bother him. His saying. “If you ain’t tearing something up, you ain’t working”
this old man had relift screen get clogged with mud.. he took his pants off not to get them soaked, jumped in the water, went to cleaning it out with hands. Got done, got snake bit by a cottonmouth. He killed the snake, then we tried to get him to go to hospital, he said “aw dey don’t do nothing but give you steroid and antibiotic shot. I’m good”
And he lived. He worked up to they day he died, on an oxygen tank in a tractor…
Doing what he loved.
He’d help you out anyway he could, that old guy was kinda like a grandpa, I looked up too, as one of mine died before I was born. The other died on my 6th birthday.
This guy didn’t even have a high school education. Only 6th grade, but was one of the largest employers in the county for a while til he downsized. Still out smarted a ton of college educated people. I would probably still be there working for him if he hadn’t died in 2012.
What if it Snows?

Well I decided to use a spreadsheet, Google sheets, to keep track of my expenses. I don't need to invoice or calculate IFTA. Google sheets seems to be free. Excel and MS office is 80 a year. Take pictures of all receipts number them. I used to just put all recuepts in a plastic bin and add them up at end of the year. I still use the bin.
