Yup! It looks like you can go in beside the muffler shop on the left but that is always full of cars and just won't work, not near enough room. It also appears like you could go through the muffler shop parking lot on the right side but it is bordered with concrete parking space bumpers that have iron spikes sticking 2 inches out of them.
I usually come in from the east going west on US36 and keep going strait on College Ave at that intersection. I go down a couple blocks and turn around and reapproach the intersection getting in the left turn only lane. There is a stop light there so usually I try and get a red light so I can begin my maneuver with as much green light time as I can get. Once the oncoming traffic clears I get in the far left going the wrong way then swing out close to sidewalk and back in, mindful of the edge of the building on my left and that pesky light pole on my right. Usually a quick load there 30-45 minutes max.FullMetalJacket, Lonesome and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
They send me there with my condo sleeper Cascadia and a 53 foot trailer. Yes the traffic on US36 is heavy. My first time there I hit it perfectly, no time at all. The second time, well I missed the set up because I got in too big a hurry and ended up with 5 or 6 pull ups. Let's say the natives weren't too happy with me. I've been there at least 8 times now so I kind of got the hang of it but I still dread going there.
Oh, and how about the rows of cinder blocks you have to back on to get in the dock. Fun fun. But the folks there are very friendly and always start on me immediately once I get docked.FullMetalJacket and Lonesome Thank this. -
My drop and hook ended up being a drop and live load (on an already docked trailer). The shipper's production department was running behind. Was about a 3 hour delay, but given my shortage of hours on my 70, it actually will benefit me. If it hadn't happened and I delivered today, I wouldn't have had much time to do a lot afterwards. With the delay, I get a little bonus money from detention, then spend the night in Marietta tonight, and have most of my 14 to run after getting empty in the morning. Plus, the shipping guy gave me an arm load of snack size apple and cinnamon snacks...along with multiple apologies for the delay.
