Good chance they run the dedicated operations out of that DC and this is more of a "power only" situation.

    Friend and Lonesome Thank this.

Miracle of miracles...my drop and hook customer had an empty...just 1 (and it wasn't the trailer number security said was available), but she said I could have it, so I hooked up and beat feet out of there before she changed her mind.

I bet, with Costco being as large and nation wide, Costco told them that they WOULD be using some of their trailers, and Averitt being in the profit business said "sure, we don't mind" because they probably got a profitable -donation- for the use of them.

The other day I saw a Shaffer truck pulling an Averitt on the side of I-75 NB, about an hour or so up from Marietta. They had a fire rescue response. Hope nothing too serious.

Pretty sure it was a new gen Freightliner too

Does Safety have a mileage threshold that triggers a random? When I t-call my current load I will have run 4012 miles on this check. (And 10200 in the last 3 weeks).

One of my former employers many years ago had a safety supervisor that would whizz test you after 3300 miles. She drove for 6 months OTR and was convinced that anyone running over 3300 miles had to be taking drugs. She lasted about 4 or 5 months and was asked to leave because she was costing the company a ton on just randoms.

Was not a good day for some on I-77 north of Charlotte today. This guy jack knifed right in front of me this morning

Then this caused a long backup when I was trying to get from Concord to the Statesville yard
