I always take the option of 'call me back' so I can hang up and wait rather than sitting on "ignore" listening to the same company infomercials over and over and over.

They used to have a canned message to send in with information and they'd call when they got around to it. Usually didn't have to wait to long, but I think people were calling in more than using the message.

Well, actually yes. As long as I am being paid. I'm retired now but if I was still working and I wasn't being paid, I wouldn't lift a finger for them. There appears to be a lot of people on the site that love to work for free.

Being paid with mileage rate based piecework is not working for free, it is piecework- the original American way of being paid. Granted it does take a considerate mind to understand. Your perspective of thinking the only fair way of compensation is being paid for time is about as un-American as it gets. We do not work for free.

I guess I don't have a considerate mind. And being paid for your time is only common sense. Believe me, if you're an OTR driver, you will work for free for your company.

There are local drivers who get paid by the load and if delayed as lot don’t get paid for that either

No less than office workers and fast food employees are granted.
