I think the pricks are bulldozing on despite our efforts. Our representatives have simply been lying to us, and diverting us so that we run around in circles and waste time. I need to talk to @Oxbow for a few things regarding water table/aquifer research tools.

Well logs would be the place to start Blair. I assume all states/counties require, and have required for many years, the depth at which a well driller hits water. The logs should be available from the county, and probably provide the best data on a specific area.
In Southern Idaho, life literally exists based upon surface water and ground water in the Upper Snake River plain aquifer. The Idaho Department of Water resources has incredibly extensive data on both, and is in never-ending litigation over water rights that began being filed in the late 1800s. That said, I have no idea if states that don't rely heavily on irrigation keep track of aquifer levels to the extent that we do, but between the state, the USGS, and the Bureau of Reclamation, data certainly is available.Last edited: May 20, 2026 at 3:05 AM

What brand box are you putting on? I've heard there's problems with fitting some of them...I'm installing a Soaring Eagle now and can't wish for a better fit to be honest.D.Tibbitt, cke, JolliRoger and 3 others Thank this.

Even back before I started trucking and was still drilling water wells, it became a requirement to keep track of our footage and at what depth we went from one formation to another…. Overburden / red shale / gray shale / sandstone and so on.
At what depth we hit water, how deep the well was, distance from a creek as well as distance from the leach bed or septic tank were all required…. -
How ya like the new rides compared to ur old iron? I had a hard time with the digital dash and big windshields. Felt like i was driving a fishbowl
cke, JolliRoger, Speedy356 and 3 others Thank this. -
993 miles when I crawled in it, steering wheel off center, slight pull to the right, not really impressed unfortunately. Windshield reminds me of the 1970 Chevy titan 90 we had at R&L…..
cke, FullMetalJacket, Oxbow and 2 others Thank this.
