In March I had the misfortune of having to travel I-70 east through Indiana. It had been a few years. After experiencing the horrible road conditions I vowed to never use 70 through Indiana again so I'm curious if anybody uses and is familiar with Route 40 running parallel to 70. Small towns, lights, speed changes don't bother me at all, but road conditions do. Anybody got some good info? SLC to Columbus.

So in other words, you’re offended by a little concrete? :biggrin_25522:

LOL, chunky, uneven concrete yes, I invested in a custom sleeper a few years ago and I prefer to keep things tight. Rattles drive me nuts. I had stuff flying out of my upper storage over the dash (W9) back in March. It was the most I've ever cursed out loud in the cab of my truck as I slow rolled through Indiana. I wasn't the only one to pull into the 1st rest area in Ohio and do a walkaround of their truck. I saw guys literally bouncing out of their seats as they went by, probably getting a good 2-3 inches of air between their butt and their seat!

It's not bad, but a lot of stop lights. I used to.use it a lot when they were rebuilding i70 12ish years ago. Not worth the extra time, imo.

    No traffic or hold ups.

    Mack is still without rattles.

I70 is without a doubt the worst section of interstate in the country…it will beat the hell out of of you.
