    Mom's uncle (full German) lied about his age (he was 41) and signed up for the Army Air Corps "because the g.d. Nazis were giving the Germans a bad name." He loaded bombs on B-17s in England for four years. After the war, the ground crew got an air tour in one so they could see what they'd helped accomplish.
