    Well, back to generating ROI.

    I had 3 days off. They were sublime!

    The furry grandkids are visiting.

    I took Missus Skillet to dinner and a movie. She was beside herself.... couldn't stop saying, "Wow. We're having a date!"

    I have to exert myself more on hometime.... usually after 3 weeks out I'm toast, and I don't want to leave the house. I forget she hasn't really left the house in the 3 weeks I've been gone.

    The movie we went to see was Coyote vs Acme. I really liked it. There were a lot of hearty laughs in it for me, although Missus Skillet looked at me after the movie was over and said, "You have a really strange sense of humor."

    "Not strange. Just different."

    She rolled her eyes. "You and your son!"

    She liked the movie okay, just not as much as I did.

    Now I'm at the shipper for a 6am. It's 0625 and I was told to "Wait for your phone call."

    At 7am I'll make a sandwich. That always makes the phone ring........

    Yesterday I had to go to work at 4:00 in the afternoon to play container hauler, definitely NOT what I wanted to do on a Sunday. I was hoping for something involving pulling pups I could start at zero dark thirty in the AM so I wouldn’t have to drive a tandem axle.

    The one saving grace was the rail yard is 2 hours away so that at least made it worth my while.

    Getting in and out of there took another 2 hours because some idiot in the Crystal Palace couldn’t be bothered to do their job Friday and upload my license to the railroad so they would let me in.

    After getting that snafu fixed, so begins the hunt for the box. By the time I realized it was on the other side of the tracks, here comes a train long enough to stretch from here to Chicago to block everything. :rolleyes:

    I can’t say I’m too wild about intermodal work.
