Why do i see Sleeper Berths on driverless trucks ????

 

That poor "safety driver" having his arms extended out but NOT holding the wheel, yeah that's comfortable.

I still have my doubts. Computers glitch, sensors fail, cameras break or get covered by bugs, weather, debris. We already have nuclear verdicts, what will these things bring? Who in their right mind will bother getting a class A cdl? What is the added cost to the truck for all the technology? Do they back up on their own too? Into a space? A dock?

 

Because once the technology fails it'll need a driver.

 

Hope they find one Capable on moment notice when there are few left.....
Also when the technology fails, its likely that a repower happens instead

 

One good EMP and the roads will be a cluster.

That's always been big tech's strategy. Form what would be an illegal monopoly in any other industry and then jack up the price once it's dependent on their IT infrastructure to operate.
