1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Here it is. I was running a milk route for 2 years trying to work myself back into OTR. See I had an accident in 04/07 I hit a gaurd rail and recieved a careless for it. Yes I was terminated from Smith Transport for it. So I thought I'ld clean up or at least try to get my stats back. So finally I thought I was in with Knight Transport out of Carlisle,Pa. only to find out after I passed there physical and road test that they couldn't hire me because of a knee surgery almost a year before, it was day surgery and the doctor who did the surgery released me to go back hauling milk and driving a truck with no restrictions. So someone please tell me how Knight can get away with this. Oh yes I forgot the most important thing of all, yes I was promised a job and gave my notice only to find out that they get you in the door and do your physical and road test then finish running everything through saftey. You ask me it's pure B.S!!!!!!!!:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25516:

Why do they do it? Because they can. They may need 10 drivers, but bring 25 in, and cull down to the ones they think they can intimidate the most. A big company does not want someone that can think for themselves, or may stand up to them when being craped on.

Not to mention the fact that Knight was probably Govt. subsidized for training and certifying all of the people. cause it looks better for them.

The moral of the story is, don't cop to previous "surgeries" that don't show up with a physical. You shot yourself in the foot.

I know it sucks that you gave notice at your old job but believe me, THEY DID YOU A FAVOR! You hear drivers all of the time and think WOW what an idiot but you see with Knight it's a bit different. They lie steal and cheat and if your still there in two weeks they will get rid of you somehow. All they care about is some driver running this load from here to there real cheap. That's it ONE load they have so many people coming into that place they don't even have enough trucks. Meanwhile a driver is sitting....waiting for a load but yet the place is overflowing with new hires to replace the drivers that quit yesterday.
