Look, USA is what it is. Been with them 2 years and am a trainer now. First full year made about 37,000. On track to make about 50,000 this year as a trainer. All I got to say to Jerry and the rest is, If you're happy....Stay. If not....move on. I'm happy, so I'm stayin'. And nobody, especially Jerry, is going to make me feel bad about my situation.
2010 Prostar with a manual tranny, 2700 a week solo, 5500 a week with a student, a good woman who loves me, and the love of Jesus in my heart. How could I even feel bad about all that. Oh, by the way Jerry....Went shopping for a Mercedes Benz last weekend. Don't sound like USA is screwing me there, does it.:biggrin_255:

Well at least you didn't come right out and call me a liar. 7 Years of eating beans and rice to get out of debt. Everything. Loans, credit cards, mortgage. Except for a few minor bills, I don't even feel a $627 a month car payment. Good credit, Low interest, a HUGE down payment and anything is possible. I don't know what your personal situation is, but if you're making $85k and spending $90k, then, you're right...totally out of the question. On the other hand if you're making $50k, and only spending $18k, then a lot more than a Mercedes is possible.(did I mention the Jamaica vacation next year???). May I suggest a book called "The Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey. Give it a look. Maybe I'll see you in Jamaica next summer, too.

Thanx indyboy, and don't let anyone discourage you out there. It's all what you make of it, and if you polute yourself with all the negative (and there is a lot of that!!!) then you will miss all the wonderful and positive.(and there is much more of that.) Hope to see you out there, and above all.....BE SAFE!!!!!!

Hey BlownX, I like your attitude!!! I am currently waiting for a USA trainer. Would be totally cool if it was you dude!!!

Also, I was very satisfied with the way they treated us in Van Buren for orientation! I planned on having to at least cover my dinner each night and they fed us three meals a day. Also, they paid to send me home and wait for a trainer to pick me up instead of having to wait at a terminal. I think most experiences at large companies are what one makes of it.

Be careful what you wish for.....LOL.
I'm pretty tough on my students. Don't score very high when they fill out the trainer review. But, let me tell you, EVERY one of my students score higher than 95 on the driving, and 90 on the written. Don't really care if you feel all warm and fuzzy about me, as long as when you get out there you're SAFE. You can do a lot of damage rolling 80K down the road at 60mph. Would rather you feel a little butt hurt cause I yelled at you during training for cutting someone off rather than to have you be fitted for a wheel chair. Or an orange jumpsuit cause you killed somebody. Can't imagine I'd get a very good review if I kicked your ### on the side of the highway next to my truck and trailer laying on it's side. Just remember, it's a job, you are a professional, so act like one. I promise the fun times come naturally out there. Just be around long enough to enjoy 'em.
    Oh Yeah........BE SAFE!!!!
