Probably this has been talked about to death. (Yeah, I know, the search button:biggrin_25514:)

I grabbed a can of motorcycle chainlube from the shelf in the garage, the stuff worked like a charm, the company I work for has a lot of older, well loved, trailers. I tried penetrating oil, soapy water, wd40, the chain lube worked awesome. I think it had wax in it too, not sure. The can was pretty much empty, but it lasted me about a month.

Its best to never use petroleum based lubes on 5th wheel and tandem slides
The oil base attracts dirt and grime that promote rust.

Using straight liquid dish soap for lubing these area's is well proven
    and its CHEAP!

I was trying to clean my windshield the other day and another driver from my company in the next bay hopped out and sprayed my glass using an old windeks bottle filled with dish soap and water- from about 15 feet away. He said it's way cheap, suds up nicely and shoots long distance and multipurpose like you could shoot it into your tandem slides without too much crawling around effort under your trailer trying to avoid urine lakes.

You want to use undiluted soap for lubing sliders and pins
