I was a Locksmith for the eight years between high school and trucking. Interesting work but I found my true calling out on the road.

my dad owned a locksmith biz and a construction biz.so i grew up in both.i was able to run his locksmith biz when i was 12.he would go out on the road from time to time for a week or 2 and leave me to run the place.it was in pcb fla.by the age of 14 i worked 3 jobs remodeling houses, painting plumbing, electric, sheeting so on.then i helped run lock calls then at nite i worked in a movie theater.then at 15 i did all of that + i went to work for the restarant next door preping food and washing dishes.
then i started reading up on minerals and geology and every year my dad and i would take a month off and go camp in whatever state we wanted to go in and prospect.i would read and learn how to do everything then i would teach my dad how to do it.then about a year later i went to work full time with a cabinet company building custom cabinets and installing them.along with working on the side with my dad on the remodeling and locksmith side from time to time.did this till i was 24 and had an itch to go drive a truck.
i can do anything it's just my nature i can look at something 1 time and most times i'll know more than the person showing me how.not braging or anything like that it's just true.i watched a guy 1 time build a computer...then i went and built a better one lmao then i took it to a computer shop to see how i did.i asked them to go over it to see they looked it over and brought it back out and said they could'nt work on it cause some of the parts were to new and they had'nt worked with them yet. i do enjoy driving tho so it's what i do.in my off time tho i still remodel houses or paint or whatever odd job i find.
i help alot of people too i never ask for anything everyone in my family is always calling me for some kind of help.mostly on how to do this or that type of thing.sometimes tho i get tired of it cause it's ane everyday thing, and i think wow you can't use your brain at all? iv'e said that b4 to my brother then i feel bad about it after.idk i guess i expect people to think like i do. -
