Best laid plans of mice and men says I be somewhere close to St Louis when I shut down tomorrow afternoon then in Harrisonville by early Sunday morning. The way it's been going, I'll only be in H'ville long enough to drop, hook and haulazz.
Where are you

Yay! Out of PA, sitting in a far corner of the Martinsburg yard.
Something happened in PA today. I don't have any idea what. Maybe some terrorist dropped itchy feet powder in the water supply. I believe everybody in the entire state decided to go to Philly today. Traffic was backed up for hours going both ways. If that wasn't enough, they paid everyone in the western half of Maryland to visit Hershey...and I got tied up in all of them heading back home to Maryland on 81!
I have put my pennance in with time in the Northeast before, but I have never, ever seen the traffic like it was today. Now that Swift knows I can go there and return physically unscathed, but with a couple more scowl marks, I can turn down any further vacation offers to the area. -
If anything changes, or if you're rolling through St Joseph, let me know and maybe I can get you a cup of coffee.

I lived in Rochester NY for about 4 years so I've got an idea about snow and winters. I've got plenty to learn about snow, winters and big ol' trucks though. What I did learn while in Rochester is that you can't half-step preparation!

Small town up state of IL. No trailer, no load.... drove around looking for place to park overnight. Town has two main streets and many other narrow streets with houses only. Found a little park but as soon as I parked, one of the residents told me couldn't stay there overnight. That's ok, I wasn't going to anyway.... Asked him where I could park the truck and he told me about an mpt lot nearby where there are two closed businessess... and after some quick chatting, he gave me 5 WONDERFUL delicious tomatoes from his garden.... GREAT!!!!
I walked around the whole town yesterday.... Now at the library. But they will close in one hr.... Not sure when my next load will be but that is ok.

Well, best laid plans of mice and men are...........stupid!

Sometimes, I suppose, things don't work out as planned. Or, should I say rarely work out as planned? Michigan City IN was as far as I could make it before time expired today. Gonna make tomorrow interesting though!
