My public apologies to Redd. Offending him was the furthest from my intentions. It was my offhand way of complimenting him on his choice. She's a very nice lady and from what I've seen of both her and Redd, they are great for each other. I have never wished other than good things for him.

I'm sorry he couldn't see the look on my face as I was typing it. He would have understood I was actually saying, "Good for you. You deserve good things in your life."

But bad timing on my part, apparently.

 

Well I kind of figured you meant nothing by it but he is not having a very easy go of things right now and I think it just hit him wrong. I'll talk to him and tell him what you said here. That's kind of why I posted that so you were aware of it cause i figured you did not mean it the way he took it.

I hope Redd will see this and know that there are people here who do care about him, and none of us like to see him going through this. He's got a lot on his mind, I think we can all understand that, and relate on some level. Times like this are when you let your friends be there for you. The ones that are still there, no matter what, that's when you find out who your friends really are.

Injun, don't be too hard on yourself. I took your statement as a congratulation. You have to be one of the sweetest people here. It's hard to convey our thoughts online when the faces can't be seen and the tone of our voice can't be heard.

Headed out of Laredo...kinda. Last week when I loaded to come down here a close friend whom he also leased on here got sick the day before. I tryed to get him to go to a hospital but he would have no part of that. So I loaded hes load and as we were headed this way he got worse. I talked him into going home and he did. Friday afternoon his brother who also works with us called me said he was gonna bring his load down. After almost 5 days of right side pain Gary see's a doctor and is rushed to the hospital with a ruptured appendix and is given a 1 in 10 chance to live so now I am gonna head north till me and Mike met up swap trailers and bring his load back to Laredo. The doctors said they dont know how he made it this long.

Boys and girls.....if you start having pains bad enough to double you over, dont think it will go away on its on. Get to a doctor, on the road or not!!

 

Pete, I sure hope your friend pulls through. Sad how much we put our lives on the line for the job and put our own health on hold. Good luck to him.
