OK you're going into the truck stop to send in your trips and logs through Trip Pak or Transflo, must you log that time?
What if you have a scanner in your truck?
What if you're taking online required classes through your company's website.
Must you log these times as on duty not driving?
How much further up our butts will they go?

take a coffee or dinner break, log it as off duty...???
then you have a nice truck...??? just send it.....don't worry about it.
i never heard of required classes from the company, but then in this case, you are on duty as you are conducting company business???
i gave you my best opinions, someone else will be here later, maybe even Diesel Bear....
with the proper (or sometimes improper tools) they can go quite far up one's arse......it's whether or not they "lube it up" first, that counts..... -
Any time spent conducting business for your company should be logged as "On Duty Not Driving" (Line 4).
Now if you are going to take a shower at the truck stop and you happen to mail or fax some paperwork to the company, I wouldn't worry about logging it on line 4.
You should ask your company if they want you to log "On Duty Not Driving" while taking these classes. Since I assume you are not being compensated for going to school then you should be ok with doing it while off duty. -
I think some(Prime maybe? Someone posted that recently) have to take a "winterizing" type of class...
