When I was younger I used to believe taking vitamins was good for me. So I would take Centrum as it was available at the grocery store. Looking at the label it has 100% of everything in there. Then one day I was at a different store looking at their vitamins and they had some that listed some of them in the thousands of percent. So I started taking them and noticed a big difference as I had more energy, strength, fewer gray hairs. Then I really got brave and started taking B-6 and B-12 that were listed as 33,333% daily value along with a multivitamin that had everything else in it as well as the B-6 and B-12 but mostly around 8,333%.

I started doing this around the age of 39 for a few months. I felt great! I felt like I was 25 again lol. My poor wife at 38 became pregnant with our first child if that is any indication of the vitamins' effectiveness. I stopped taking the high potency vitamins when they ran out, due to their high cost and worrying about the voodoo damage I might be doing to my body.

Thinking maybe I ought to get a lawyer and see if I can get all my money back ,from what I've spent on all those energy drinks,shots,b-12 pills, liquid 12 under the tongue, drank a bunch of red bulls the other day due to lack of sleep and a cold ,felt like I came down with a bad case of PMS got in a uproar, the only thing left to do is get a six pack of the stuff and down it like beer maybe then it might work or get a heart attack.

The US RDA values regarding vitamins and minerals are the minimum values a body should be getting so as not to be deficient. Going higher than the minimums is quite fine, depending on how high you go, and whether the vitamin is water soluble, or fat soluble. As an example, you can ingest gram upon gram of vitamin C each day, and flush out the excess with water. Vitamin E, on the other hand, is fat soluble, and if too much is taken, can be hazardous. However, the levels that you would need to take to make it hazardous are WAY higher than the RDA values.

If you're ever in doubt about the amount you can safely take, talk to your Dr., or do some online research.

I use parsley (a good hand full) and 4 carrots, run them thru the juicer. Your not going to go to sleep. I know its healthy. Drowsy from driving this will wake you up for about 4 hours.

Because you'll be holding your butt cheeks together? If you get tired and don't, a mess will ensue? :biggrin_2556:

The "5 Hour Drinks" have caffine equal to one cup of joe. The vitamins listed (B-12, 6, B-100 etc) only work well if you have a good amount of carbs and protein in your system when you take them to make them effective. These vitamins convert food to stored energy. Caffine constricts the blood vessels reducing the amount of oxygen going to your brain which in turn will give some a headach. When you yawn, it's your body telling you there isn't enough oxygen going to your brain.

Before my workouts a take a pre-work out energy booster called Jacked 3-D. What this does is open up the blood vessels allowing more blood to the mussels. It also allowes better blood flow throghout the body, which will help with mental alertness and focus. It last for about 3-4 hours. Most body builders use this for increased endurence during their workout giving them more reps and less burn. It also helps with the recovery of the mussels. There are no real side effects from this.

I drink too much pop. I drink like 3 or 4 a day, sometimes more. Not so much for the caffeine but I just enjoy the taste. RC has been my fix lately.
    I think I have a problem.:biggrin_25513:
