Where are you

The last load I brought down here for Prime delivered at the west end of Camino Colombia. It was that pulverized chicken stuff in big barrels. I went up that FM road along the border to get there. On my way back to the T/A, there were no other trucks around me and *CRACK!!* I had a chip right in the center of my passenger side windshield. I thought WTH?!? When I got back to the T/A, I took a close look at that new chip. It was a high velocity hit by a small object. And it wasn't a chip, but I don't know how else to describe it. Only thing I can come up with is it was a bullet that ricocheted off my windshield from across the border.

I refused loads going to that broker after that. Figured I'd already tempted fate a little too closely.

These guys have a yard up behind the Pilot. I'm usually hanging out here unless certain people need flatbeds with red side kits babysat for a while.

Going to Sioux Falls for the 15th.

Talking to my guy earlier. He says Amarillo got dumped on. A few inches of the nasty white stuff on the ground and 30 degrees out. Y'all be areful out there!

 

I wondered where oldnewbiegoodbuddy or whatever he goes by had been......I like following his progress, or lack there of..

 

He said he was going to the buffet to eat but personally I think he was headed to the bewbee bar...

 

Back in Casa Grande, but headed back up to Billings later today.

Yuppers... know that road. Had a Mexi-cabover-bobtail pass me doing warp9 one morning - he fishtailed it just right to make sure I got sprayed with gravel. And they wanna let those mofo's all over the country. Yeah.

There's another way into that end of Camino Columbia from north of the truckstops off of the big road I've used a couple of times... have to see if I can find it for ya.

I was just there last week. You think Texas would want people to use that toll road, but they have no cash tolls on it whatsoever.

As far as getting hit with a bullet from the other side of the border, I doubt it, that FM road actually for most of it's length runs 1-1.5 miles from the border. If anything you had someone taking a potshot at you with a BB gun from the American side. Or more likely, some random GE part falling off an airplane.
