Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

The only thing that would stop me from taking the job is the lack/cost of housing. If your trucks had sleepers... it don't bother me in the slightest to live in a tin can.
-
dam i would not mind looking in to it.

I wish I would have seen something like this years ago. Finally content and happy running the southern routes for a good company.
For you guys with no family, living in a junk truck, running 160 miles a day and eating out of tin can's here ya go....... -
Agreed, those tin cans can be better accomodations than most hotels!
-
Being that I slip seat the trucks and they run 24 hours, living in the truck is not possible.
Krash, we are pulling off fresh water wells, frac, production tanks, etc. No it is not six on two off. It is six on one off.krash13ss Thanks this. -
What kind of housing situation is there? wouldnt mind working 84 hrs a week and making that kind of money but how long is the job and where would i stay? But still very interested. Mick in SC .

doesn't sound bad at all. Running vac tanks down here I was putting in 100 to 168hrs a week. 10 days on 2 off (if you actually got your 2 off) for $15hr but overtime after 40.
Vac work is gravy baby, If I didn't have a family i'd be up there. Hell even OTR I do 16hr a day for three weeks with mabey only one or two days off. -
That's a good question about the housing and How long is the job ? Heck, I'm single and could handle doing this.
-
generally in these oil boom towns housing is near non existant and super expensiveif you can find it. Unless the company has secured housing. Most guys I would see lived in the RV towns they would set up
