ill stay here long enough to get my contract up. if its good past then ill stay. if not ill move on. but like with every company you are gonna have nay sayers and then you will have the people that love the company. my trainer in school drove for crst for 30 years. now on the flip side you will have people in the company for 3 months saying its the worst thing on the planet.

This has to be the dumbest thing ive ever heard. More work for less money? Are you joking I sure hope so. If not I will pay you .15cpm and you can get 5500 a week. As much as you can handle.

    bigblue19 and JimDriv3r Thank this.

I was going to go with CRST last week, but after asking if it's normal to pay them back for all orientation costs and finding out most companies don't do that, well, I changed my mind.

im just saying id rather get the miles and a decent pay rather then move companies and fight for that extra .01 a mile. there are problems with every company no matter where u go. i guarentee you will never hear every driver in a company say they are 100% happy with everything that happens every day in a company. wont happen.

i dont need .50 a mile to be happy. im happy with where im at since im just starting out. as i get better and progress in my driving then yes i want to be paid what im worth.

We have 50 trucks and all are happy except Old Phil. He's been run through the ringer by several ex wives and if he won the lottery he would complain about the tax.

But there are lot's of good companies out here and not one of them advertises.

    JimDriv3r Thanks this.

the problem is most companies will not hire unless u have experience. so u cant get experience as u dont have nay. see the problem? so you have to go to one of the big companies that offer school programs to get the experience.

once i get experience i will think about changing companies. id like to find a local company in iowa but fat chance on that one. i have kids and a wife at home so i dont think OTR is gonna work out.

i was thinking maybe conway running doubles terminal to terminal.

Yeah the problem. The problem is guys willing to make 30cpm and run 4000 miles a week. When you can run 2500-2800 and make just as much or more without killing yourself. News flash gramps you can run 2800 in a five day period and rest the weekend. At 4000 miles it will take you six days and have you wondering why you are a wrinkled up old man looking at trucks parked for the day wishing it was you getting some rest.
You will probably come back here tell everyone you love running hard every week. Save it gramps we dont wont to hear another in the old days supertrucker when everyone help everybody story.

You jumped to an erroneous conclusion my friend. I was refering to the gentleman who was willing to work for peanuts. Who, in their right mind, would want to drive more miles for less pay?

Not to poke holes in your rant or anything, I like a good rant, But could you explain exactly why one would only get 3 hours of sleep a day if they are only running 1500-2500 miles per week? I assume the student is doing all of the driving with such low miles anyway. Other than the death factor, being a trainer at 2500miles a week would be a cake walk.
