I guess all the stuff that you and I and quite a few have posted on here was just a waste of time! That is kinda sad.
Oh well, let him sign up with Knight, he'll see! And maybe, when things don't work out for him, he will come back on here and join our happy group of drivers that had enough sense to quit working for that Satanic cult called Knight!!!

Yea their something else. I'm getting one call a week asking if I want to come back. This despite telling them I wasn't interested. Who the hell wants to work for Knight? Repeatedly asking for miles, saying "alright then just send me home" only to be told they have no freight going home.

Anybody ever been held hostage in a POS truck that won't idle, getting no miles, and wondering why they keep hiring? You had your chance Knight and now my current employer and I are just shaking their heads at your stupid clueless #####.

There is no bigger insult to professional driver than Knight. Not a one.

I was a founding driver of the KR term out of hutchins tx when the opened up in early 98. I got all the miles I wanted and I had no problem being out a month. THEN, they built a new ter and it went down hill from there. They fired 2 guys for wanting to be at home for 3-4 days after being out a month. Then there is me. I got canned because of another driver said I hit and dented his trailer at the krger DC in houston, while I did scrape a little paint off of it there was NO OTHER damage, and I have the photos to back me up. It was a small scrape maybe 3 feet long and 1/2 wide, nothing a can of krylon couldnt fix, you had to see the trailer to understand what I am saying. He started crying like a little #####, so I did the honest thing and called it in, I did everything I was told, this was my only incedent in 2 years OTR, or so I thought, When I first got into the NEW Volvo I was on my way home after running the first load, they dead headed me home to get my stuff, on the highway near were I live I hit a block of concret in the road, I couldnt change lanes due to traffic so I hit it. It bent the rim on the trailer but didnt do a thing to the tire it was fixed in under 30 minutes for 90.00 dollars, they put that on my DAC as a turning incedent. well that made 2 in a year. I was called in after picking up a load and asked to go back to dallas. They called me in and caned me right there. I had no idea it was coming and had no warning. And now I have a termination on my DAC I never got a verbal or anything. I know they dont realy have to but most places give you a low level chew out then fire you. It has taken me a little more than a year to get a driving job, the place that I am running for got my DAC and said come drive for us. So while they seem like a milk and honey place to drive, you had better watch your ###, they will nail you without warning. I will never go back, and they have called several times wanting me to. The turn over should tell you something, the hire at least 30 drivers all over the USA every week.
    You have been warned.

kd5icr: So they fire you and then call you back later on down the line for another employment offer? That's messed up and very desperate on the recruiter's part. I've personally had enough of these clowns for my own personal reasons. Anyone can feel free to pm me if you want to know what really goes on at this company, or just read the replies from other members on this forum.

Yes that is how bad it is there. And keep in mind I told the whole story, many think that some hold back, I do not, I hit as hard as a chainsaw to the teeth. I am finaly back on the road this coming tuesday, with a small outfit, they have less than 50 trucks, so they will know me by name not truck number.
