Yeah, this is true, however, when there is no time to stop at Walmart and wash and prepare fresh veggies and fruits, well, one has to settle for what is available. :biggrin_2558:

Agreed. If you're looking for quality fast food, Del Taco yum. Their burritos are big and fat and filling. Quesadillas for breakfast melt in your mouth.

I'm not one to buy the old adage "I don't have the time." Good eating is the same as exercising on the road. You make the time. If you don't make yourself the #1 priority in your life, then you're cheating yourself, and the ones you love, out of so many more years with you around.

And such is the end of my rant. I will dismount from my soapbox now.

And there is usually a home-town small independent place nearby. Most small towns on the business route have a few mom and pop old-style restaurants (but not open all night), with parking on the main drag. I always try to stay away from the chains. Usually end up there if there is nothing else.

On a side note to that, do not take the I-70 business route/Us40 through Denver. Downtown Denver is not a good place to be in a truck with a trailer.

I'm burnt out on the ####. We need more choices. Go to a location that has 3 truck stops and can bet everyone of them has a #### Subway.

Hell, think trucking downtown Denver is bad, try I-75 through Atlanta. There's one that will make your butt pucker!

From creeping along at .03275 mph for ten hours trying to shoot the middle?

I have never understood the logic in going down through the middle when traveling north or south--it is 4.6 miles longer to take 285 around the west side versus staying on 75... and a lot less headache.

I'm sure you do hate subway....God forbid they are getting rid of all these All you can eat buffets so the already overweight truck drivers can't go back to the feeding trough 4 or 5 times. Maybe a sub would do alot of these walking heart attacks some good. I drive 3000 plus miles a week, but manage to get in my exercise 3 or 4 times a week, and keep my weight under control Go figure.

I've got some canned Pineapple and Orange Slices, Turkey and Mild Cheddar, some soup etc.

But I had a choice today of parking at a Pilot with Wendys or one with Arbys and I go WENDYS all the way!

It tears me up how many places you can't take a 53' trailer....
