Just like in boating, hit the waves perpendicular to get over them; run alongside them and be swamped.

    Great video, great music.

Ditto!!! Times 1,000!! If everyone would just take their time, or get off the road if they are EMPTY, you would see less of this. An empty tanker nearly took out a snow plow, right in front of me, on I80 in PA Tuesday night. The plow was set up on the zipper cleaning it off. I saw the headlights way back. Checked again, in a few seconds, and he was right there, coming around me. I immedately started backing down. Then, squaked on the racket box to both of them. He was already sliding by the time the plow saw him, and jerked the wheel over. Everyone survived, but it was looking ugly for a few seconds. And, the tanker decided it was time to slow down.

What is amazing to me is the trucks all seemed to have really good following distance. That road must have been one solid sheet of ice so that even just a tap of the brake sent them all sliding!

The music is erie! Next time set it to opera! :)

I was trying to find music for a 3:45 video. Opera would be horrendously too long.

Ted,I am SORRY that happened for you, but,my youngest son, (17)watched that over & over, and really,it may turn into a cult classic !!! It should be required viewing in my opinion.

No criticism to Pur48Ted... personally I think he did a great job in avoiding something really expensive.

I got caught in an ice storm on I80 in Iowa last winter... went from wet roads and drizzle to an ice rink in 5 minutes. I had a quarter mile between me and the next vehicle, and I'd rather have had a mile - some serious pucker factor trying to get stopped and not jack knife. Had to use the zipper strip to keep my trailer from sliding sideways off of the road. I watched two other trucks have their trailers slide around nearly 90 degrees in front of me...

Ain't no such thing as too much following distance, and whatever you think is "enough" - on a crappy day, double it!

That's a good video... and yeah, it ought to be required viewing for every wannabe.

I was on I 70 coming out of ohio and and it was terrible on Sunday. I shut down when I got to Terra Haute. The next morning I saw all of the trucks. There were still alot of ice on the roads. It was very erie!
