Oops did a Knight driver leave his interior light on while the truck wasn't running? Time for a pull start...except his truck loses all it's air within an hour. Guess someone has to wait for a chipper and eager fellow driver to come and give him a jump. I hope he has cables.truckerdave1970 Thanks this.

HUH... Must be one of those "so called" disbatchers?? That's what I'm getting Fellas.
-
Why does that make him a "disbatcher"? With 3600 trucks the odds are that you are going to find some drivers who are getting consistant miles and are happy there.

some of these drivers don't get it any way. I even said that i have had some issues with this company but no company is perfect. These drivers who believe these companies should be absolutely perfect are dreaming, there are no perfect companies, just like there are no perfect people either.

You are correct as far as no company and no person being perfect. But there are just way too many of us on here who have worked for other trucking companies after leaving Knight. We do know what we are talking about, because we have experienced it first hand.
I'll admit there were things that I liked about Knight. I had a great dispatcher. But when I was not in his area, of course I had to deal with what I got. And let's face it, Knight is just another bottom feeder company.
If it works for you, fine. But there are a whole lot of us here that it did not work for. But then the next company DID work well for us.
So you just keep right on with your rose colored glasses, or your line of bull schidt, whichever it may be. You might snooker a few newbies in, but those of us who have been there know better.truckerdave1970 and Dna Mach Thank this. -
I've been with three companies in the last five years, does that make me a flake? I didn't want to be away from my family for 3-9 weeks at a time for a lousy 1800 miles a week (marten), I didn't want to drive 3k miles a week for a lousy 700 dollars gross (de boer), and now I have an awsome job. My paid miles were LESS than one percent off from actual miles, and I didn't have to break my balls to gross a grand. Our trucks are alittle slower than theirs (anyone else's) but who cares? For what I'm getting paid, fine by me. I'm getting paid for doing things you'll NEVER get paid for at Marten or de Boer, for instance: riding in someone's car to a different terminal to get your truck. I get treated politely and with respect. I didn't have to "earn" it, it was just GIVEN, and all they ask is that you give it in return. There ARE still companies out there that will treat their drivers fairly, even MEGAS. You just have to do your research, and not jump blindly.Lilbit and drvrtech77 Thank this.
