Last Wednesday nite, I went to Erlanger Ky to deliver a load of dextrose to the people that make Mento's and Airhead's candies. Took a long time to get unloaded and I didn;t get back into the Chicago area to pick up my next load until about 2 pm. I grabbed the load and headed for Three Rivers, Michigan, running across the Indiana Toll Road. As I drove along near the 45 mile mark, in a slight rainstorm, I looked in the mirror and saw a large black BMW 740 slicing and dicing his way through the traffic. he was running a good 85 mph in the 70 mph traffoic, and was willing to fight and almost die for that next hundred foot of pavement in front of him.
Before he got to me, I pulled out to pass the truck that was in front of me, and it was apparent that the sight of two large trucks side by side frustrated our road warrior hero a little bit. And it is possible, just maybe I dropped off the cruise control and used my foot, and took a little bit longer to pass my fellow trucker than I really needed to. But, be that as it may, sometimes a fully loaded truck just gets out to make a passs and the rolling terrain slows down his pass a little bit more than anticipated.
Anyway, by the time we reached a little bit past the 48 mile mark, I swung back in and cleared the way for my little friend behind me. And, with his pent up frustration at having his journey slowed, and his heavy foot on the throttle, he surged ahead on the now open highway, probably clocking in at a good 90 mph as he raced ahead to make up for his lost time.
Unfortunately, he seemed not to have a CB and be aware that there was an Indiana State trooper with a radar gun at the 49 yardstick looking at the eastbound traffic just over the hill from where I released him from his confinement.
Last I saw my little buddy, he was stopped on the side of the road, and not making any forward progress at all.......
Timing is everything....

That's funny! I would like to have heard his explanation of what his hurry was, but I bet he said something about those slow trucks. It amazes me every day how people are so impatient that they will put their safety and everyone around them in jeopardy just to save a couple of minutes. Go figure!

Nice, I love when that happens.....
I drive super fast in my car, but do so with caution, I modulate my speed, I am patient for truckers, and do not tailgate....
Valentine 1 helps too... and watching traffic a mile a head of you for brake lights.

Ahhh... such sweet justice!

I'm not above setting someone up once in a while. I get that funny feelign and find a deserving individual, and then extract payment from him for all of the 4 wheelers who have ever offended me with their driving.

The higher the price tag of a 4 wheeler the lower the IQ of the driver.

You gotta love to here about this, I am shure we all see this guy at least once a week, it makes you wonder why they are willing to race and risk death to save the few minutes that they will, time is money, he must of lost a couple bucks while getting the ticket, good for you! drive55cat
