Dick, I agree with you on that point. Being able to enjoy your job has many good benefits.
What I, and I think maybe Oldnew, was getting at. Is that too many new drivers think this is only an adventure, and forget about the day to day grind. Of waking up at odd hours, to make deliveries, to in some cases abysmal places and meeting some of the most unappreciated people around.
Said i'd never do this......

I've got a load to Edwardsville, t-calling it tuesday night, and picking up a student wednesday afternoon......
-
Boy things happen FAST for you , is there not a TRAINERS training course ?
Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
hmmm......
-
i took it a month or so ago when i was sitting in edwardsville. asked my DM if there are any classes i could take since I was waiting, and he said i had taken all the courses i needed...but there was a mentor class i could take....so i did. At the time, i never dreamed to be one, but just wanted to see what they 'taught'.

Oh ok , just like doing the TRUCK deal , was already a DONE deal before you posted anything on here .
-
yep. Thats usually how i work. Don't like to say "i'm doing this"...then not do it, and have to post "nope....i'm not doing this". or are you implying something else?
-
Well the title of the thread is "Said i'd never do this....." lol. A little history lesson:
You used to castigate lease operators and mentors and now you are becoming that which you disdained.
Good Luck
