I miss the road but i dont miss the 300 mile loads all the BS and they know your hours you have left better then you do. All the crete/shaffer/hunt drivers i met out there are pretty nice..a few whacko's i met commin out of orientation at different terminals. over all i enjoyed working there, if it wasnt for the 5 hour trip back and forth and the drama i may have stayed. might, and might not... depends on where one lives, what they want to do. And do they want to work for a company that has big bulls eye from the LEO's?

 

I can't speak for him, but it's actually easy. Buy a small home and live with simplicity. I've been out here for a few years and have managed to save a years pays for a rainy day. I'm not rich as in jet-setting, hanging out and buying stuff but I have no financial worries with most weekends off. Trucking has been great too me.
