Look, all California needs is a 10.0 quake, then Utah will have ocean front property, Oregon will have two coasts, and the rest of us will have some peace and quiet without those hotty tottie hollyweird types telling us how to live our lives.

I am not sure of your source for this information, BUT, fines are set by the Superior Court of California (known as municipal court in the rest of the U.S.) for the county of jurisdiction.

As a former California Peace Officer, I know this to be 100% true. Looking at the fines, they are less than what the County of Monterey was setting in 2008 when I left.

Depending on the location that you are cited in, the fine may be more or less $$$ out of your wallet.

I remember when that "Dear Red States" letter first came out lol. Boy what a disaster having Elliot Spitzer turned out to be for us lol.

I gotta say as a son of Great Depression parents, when I got out of the Marines in 1990 at the age of 21, I lived very frugally in California for years in anticipation of the next potential Great Depression 2.0. But as the years ticked by and by I saw friends and family buying up fancy cars and brand new luxury homes like it was nothing. There I was in a little 2 bedroom 1 bathroom condo that I bought with $41 down payment using VA benefits at $416 a month wondering why I didn't have the big 4 or 5 bedroom house with 4 or 5 bathrooms with 3 car garage with the latest Lexus and BMW parked within. I took the red pill and here I am today in just 4 short years have lost everything and driving a truck lol. But there are millions of Californians worse off than I am.

Have some compassion Cali haters! These are your fellow Americans!

The way we have treated California????? I think it's the other way around. So you want to leave..... SEE YA!!!!

    THANK GOD!!!!!

Sounds like a good trade to me, You can have them.

You are correct it will be beneficial..... The rest of the nation wont have to put up with all the stupid laws, Gay marriage crap, CARB and all the other BS that comes from California. So far this looks like a real good deal......

    Please do....

Where is the down side to that ????

CA is not the only place doing stem cell and I would not brag on having the best beaches.

Still not seeing any real big loss here....

    Microsoft SUCKS!!!!!

Not to worried on that. With all the money that will be saved by not having to bail out CA I am sure we can put that in other schools and bring them up to Harvard level.

We will keep the other 25% and Alabama rocks.

Now thats funny.... two-thirds and broke as hell. So who will have to pay who share ???

Where did you get your numbers on that???? I have seen a ton of single moms in that state.

Pro choice and anti war ???? Ok so CA hates the war, but supports the murder of unborn babies ????

    You have resources ???

80% of the fresh water supply ????? Where is Southern CA getting its water ???? It gets pumped in from other states... All we have to do is shut off that flow and you have what ????

Now thats funny!!!! CA has more then enough obese Americans as well as all the fence jumpers from Mexico and CA has to cover all that health care cost. We may have to deal from mosquitoes, tornadoes and hurrcanes, but you can keep all the earthquakes and forest fires.

Only thing that has come out of Hollywood over the past few years is nothing but crap.

I'm not going to touch this one.

You can keep that crap..... I dont smoke weed.

They have 1200 miles of coastline and can't even create enough drinking water out there since they'd rather coddle illegals and stifle purification projects with regulation and protecting wildlife...
