For all u Cali haters........

You just reminded me... In 2005 I bought a new Ford Explorer Sportrac SUT. It had a flexfuel engine that could run on gasoline or E85. I was pretty excited about the possibility of paying less for fuel and I didn't even care if the difference in price for the fuel was borne on all the rest of the taxpaying citizens of the United States or that Ford was mandated by California law to offer a certain percentage of vehicle with alternate fuel systems. I got home and looked on the internet for the nearby E85 fuel stations and the nearest one (and at the time there was only ONE E85 public station in the whole state) was over 400 miles away from me in San Diego.

But Cali is still the bestest state in the whole country.

 

As a "California native" that lived there most of my life...I'll have to respectfully disagree!

 

Two miles off the mouth of the river? You know there would be more salt water in there than fresh water?

Well, since we are voting. I love the scenery, the weather, the history, the activities, being able to hit the beach, the lake, & mountains in the same day (from where I live), and the very rural, laid back area that I live in.

I do not like, the politics, the liberals (not all democrats, the liberals.), the over population, the laws (current & upcoming), and how polluted the air can be at times.

Been here my whole life, not long compared to some of you, but all of it nonetheless!

 

No, you're mistaken. I live on the east side of the San Andreas fault and I will have ocean front property.

And I'm looking forward to the day when the color red reigns supreme in CA again. The loonies on the coast and L.A. can have their island, actually I'd like nothing better. The fruits and nuts deserve their own island, this way they can leave the sane folks alone once and for all. I was born and raised in this state and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out until sanity returns again.

I used to be proud to live here. You can't beat the weather. However, since they decided to let all the nut cases out of the asylums, they made a bee line for the Capitol and made it their home, and this is where we started on our decline. Unfortunately they're still working there. And there were breeders among them (before it was pc to be pro-choice) and they multiplied exponentially and now have taken over the coast and L.A., we need to stop the madness before it infects the whole state (kind of like the zombies who don't kill you, they just bite you and infect you).

These people should never have been released upon an unsuspecting public.

 

Whoa, hold your horses a minute. The water we get comes from the Sierras. We have a reservoir, it's called Jenkinson Lake where we get our water and it's run-off from the American River. I can't speak for L.A., nor do I want to, but we get our water local, not from out of state. As a matter of fact some of that run-off from the American River goes into that thing called the Aqueduct and a good portion of this water goes down to L.A., I don't happen to agree with this set up but no one asked me either. I think if Socal wants water, they can pay big $$ if it's so important to them to be able to have a green lawn during a drought or hose down their driveways or wash their cars, or water those plants along side the freeways at midday during the summer.

Los Angeles wants me to feel their pain? I say go pound sand. Why don't they get all those illegal aliens they're harboring to dig some trenches to hold the water in when it rains? At least this way they might get some return on their investment.

 

Whoever told you this "world leader" nonsense must have been a Texan, because it's as inflated as a ten gallon hat.

Texas exports a net amount of wind farm electricity, because it also generates extra electricity the old fashioned air polluting way. The problem is that the electrical grid limits how much can be transferred elsewhere.

T Boone Pickens has already thrown in the towel on his dream of the largest wind empire, recognizing the cost of the transmission grid was too much for his thin business wallet. Thin exas wallet can't finance America's energy grid. Need to go to California for that...
