Yes freight is slow, but is it really as bad as 2007-2008? I mean we all still at least have a job. My team partner said in times like these companies will park trucks and do massive layoffs of drivers so the remaining drivers have freight to move. They are looking for complainers, high idlers, ##### disturbers, lazy, don't give a crap bums, etc.

 

Got rid of them last year........

 

In the past...(recent past like last year and all the years preceding) Swift will dead head trucks from one area to another...kind of "re-circling the wagons". I always saw that as a good thing for drivers...hundreds of MT trucks just moving to be moving...no freight but still moving. Some will be getting moved to "future" freight "expectations" and some will be going to a different location to possibly be dead headed again...as I said "just moving to be moving"!

You might see this for the next month or so...especially out here in the west!

yeah...after re-reading it...it was in very poor taste. Not that i want to see gabby in harms way....i do thank whoever she's pulling thru like she is. Kinda like Tiger Woods making a hole in one every hole of the masters....
