while im thinking of it ill add some info about miles/pay.

the past 2 weeks i got about 3500 miles both weeks. im currently at .32 and every 2 months i go up .2 .

your pay week is sat-sat. any miles dispatched within that period is paid next friday.

3500 miles each week or combined for 2 weeks?

Big Tex keep the good info coming will ya? Con way sounds like a decent company. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them?
    1. What is their home time policy?
    2. Do they do just 48 State OTR or do they have some sort of regional fleets?
    3. How did they get you to orientation- bus, plane?
    4. What type of freight do they handle- food, general commodities?
    5. Are you given plenty of time to get where you are going or do you have to bust your but to get there?
    6. Are you allowed on toll roads?

I apologize for the amount of questions that I have and appreciate you taking the time to answer them.

    1. If you are OTR you can request home time after being out 7 days, if you are regional you can request the first day back to work after your days off.
    2. They have 48 plus Canada and they also have regional.
    3. you can take either but if you fly I think they will only reimburse you for the equivelant of the bus fare.
    4. They haul just about everything except refridgerated.
    5. Everything they assigned to me, I had time to do. They can see how many hours you have remaining through Qualcomm. Having said that, they can make mistakes and assign you something that you can't make. If that is the case just tell them and they will fix it.
    6. They have transponders for your tolls. I think the only two states you have to pay is Florida and Kansas. Unless you are a regional or dedicated.

I am a rehire # ctl GOOD LUCK getting a truck I have been waiting for 10 days so far and no truck in sight and NO TIME FRAME for my truck I have been working for ctl for 2 years and took off for a couple of months for some personal problems ( saved my marriage and my home) long story!! The point is Conway is a great company to work for but be ready to spend a long time waiting for anything to get done IE: repairs, loads, getting a truck ETC. They move very slowly # conyway truckload. I am only relaying my expirience THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST TO WORK FOR but far from perfect

cali: 3500 each week. only getting about 1600-2200 this week cause i was at home half the pay week.

tddriver: boomer pretty much answered those ?s perfect

lovemytrucker: really waiting that long for a truck? where are you at? i only waiting about 2 days after orientation(had to drive to west memphis). not too thrilled about my t600 though. VERY small compared to my 387 at werner. i agree though. they are a really good company to work for. still some bs you will have to deal with just like every company but its minimal. ive only heard 2 people who said they weren't happy.

currently on a load from cedar city,ut to ft smith,ar. gave me 5 days to get there.. why, i have no idea. they impress me daily tho(compared to werner). i had called today about my espar heater not working and was concerned about thus being low on my mpg avg. road breakdown told me to head to a kw dealer en-route to con and not to worry about mpg until fixed because its documented now. if this were at werner it would be a completely different response. personally, i am very happy with my switch to conway.

I sat and chatted with a 1 year vet of Conway at a shipper the other day. He said the new trucks are all single screw with bogie axles. They get stuck trying to pull out of docks.

    True, or false?

i hate to say it but yes, it is true. and by 2013 the WHOLE company will be in "new" trucks. i believe all new t600's. i have no idea why im doing this seeing as with dif interlock axles theres still times we get stuck. i really hope they reconsider this.

update. still getting some pretty good runs. just beat the massive storm hitting ok and pretty much everywhere else midwest. stuck in our lancaster tx terminal though do to ice is covering EVERYTHING:biggrin_25510: so if anyones got more questions i got time to try n answer em the best i can. :biggrin_255:

    HOWDY NEIGHBOR!!

I am down the street at Swift not wanting to run. I am under a load to go to Paris PU and deliver in Houston.

I am waiting for morning to see if they can't clean up the roads some.
Jimmy's pizza is the only place delivering food. Good luck getting them on the phone!:biggrin_25525:
